What is fabric-covered lighting cord?
Fabric-covered lighting cord is electrical wire wrapped in a decorative textile covering. Instead of hiding the cord, the fabric lets it become part of the fixture’s design. It may also be called cloth-covered cord, textile cord, decorative electrical cord, or fabric pendant cord.
What is the difference between round and twisted fabric cord?
Round fabric cord has a smoother, cleaner profile that works well with modern and contemporary lighting. Twisted fabric cord has more visible texture and a more vintage-inspired look. Both turn the electrical cord into a decorative part of the fixture.
Can colored cord be used for large chandeliers and multi-pendant lights?
Absolutely. Colored cord isn’t limited to single pendant lights. Hangout Lighting uses fabric-covered cord in multi-pendant chandeliers, clusters, swag chandeliers, and large fixtures for spaces such as dining rooms, stairways, foyers, and high ceilings.

Can I choose the cord color on my pendant light?
Yes. Hangout Lighting offers fabric-covered lighting cords in a range of colors and styles. Depending on the fixture, you can choose your cord along with other details such as the socket, shade, finish, length, and ceiling canopy.
Can I mix different cord colors in one chandelier?
Yes. Many of our multi-pendant chandeliers can be designed with multiple cord colors in the same fixture. Mix bold colors for a playful look, combine similar tones, or keep the cords consistent and customize other elements instead.
